The advent of the Internet and with it the digitalization of film and sound means that any form of editing / effects editing (i.e. sound, music or visual) is no longer limited to the physical proximity of the film studio or local post house. Just as production companies are now seeking locations like Romania and Czechoslovakia to lower their costs in production, so the Internet offers a way for the film industry to lower its costs in post production - while at the same time offering greater accessibility and without sacrificing either quality or content.
